Donut Lab published a test each week for five weeks, each intended to highlight a key battery feature. Test One involved VTT fast-charging a cell beyond normal battery limits, after which it retained nearly 100% of its charge. In Test Two, VTT fully charged the cell and discharged it in high-temperature settings. Afterward, the cell was recharged at normal temperature, but researchers observed the pouch lost its vacuum.
